Are those giant veg seeds from Clive bevan? He used to live/work at the same place as me and often had ginormous veg displayed on his front lawn-made going to work more interesting but they needed a lot of manpower to move around(palletts/trailers etc)

Darren, the leek is winter giant. It was a whopper among lots of mediocre ones last year. I should have kept it for seed but it made lovely soup!!

Probably just one of those freaks of nature...but that's how new varieties come about. It takes me all my time to grow stuff to eat without worrying about the showbench!

Hi Darren - Thanks for your welcome message I really appreciated it.  Do you have any ideas of what I can sow at this time of year in my veg patch?  I've already sent off for some potatoes (which I'm going to grow in bags and have ordered some winter salad leaves to grow in a propagator) Have you suggestions for anything else?

Hi Darren - I like Cabot Cirus, I guess without a jacket it's not good!! But prefer it to be stiffled inside a shopping mall any day. I highly recommend eating at carluccios Italian restaurant at cabot Circus. We always have lunch there - they have an amazing deli as well.

It's on bottom floor, in the outdoors area. It is near Brasserie Blanc, there are fountains outside it.

LOL. The paths may be slightly bent... but i find after a bottle of wine or a few ciders it is easier to navigate that a straight one. :)

wind? how personal!!! Yeah, I tried this picture, but it doesn't look as good on the page as the dahlia or the sweet pea so may go back, so hang on to your hat coz it's getting windy again lol
