Hi Carolyn, found the blog a while ago have tried a few of the recipes, which have all turned out great. I love the pictures and its really well written.
The only other foodie blog I religiously followed was http://orangette.blogspot.com/ but its gone quiet on the food front recently.
Although I have started reading Sarah Raven over at the Telegraph but they only feature recipes out of her books, oh well can't have everything! Are there foodie blogs you follow?
Thank you so much. Yes, I am very much enjoying having a look round and seeing what is on here! I really like what you have done with your space - it looks lovely!
Yes, I don't think I'll ever learn when it comes to cheap plants and products...I am trying though! Have only slipped up once with the supermarket 'cloche'...still!
Hello Caro you're welcome! I spent a couple of hours on the plot this morning mostly pottering, and will at the horticultural society trading shed as usual tomorrow morning where I'm the teaboy! Happy gardening! xx
Hi Carolyn, thanks for friends request, I was going to ask you the same but ran out of time the other day!
The plastic bottle experiment is being done to see if a difference can be made to protecting and nurturing seedlings on our sometimes windy, always chalky site. The idea is that the bottles, which are full of water and buried head down with their lids on, absorb heat during the day and release it at night. It is a small change but seems to be working as the comparison bed has not done as well but its still early days. Interesting though. I've had permaculture training and the member looking after the exp beds used to live in Africa and is keen to explore different methods. will keep you posted!
Your plot looks fantastic, lovely photo's. We have a website www.commoncause.org.uk which I do post onto but not weekly. Also if you do facebook you could have a look at
Hi Caro, no not yet but there are a few other items we are waiting for so it must be the bank holiday. Just had our first harvest tonight, quite exciting radishes, spinach and mustard greens! All makes an interesting salad for lunch tomorrow even if there wasn't much of it! Still its a start and i'm happy that something will grow in my hastily thrown together 8ft by 4ft plot! Andy
Thanks for the welcome, I'm in northwest London, I'm looking forward to using the site and getting lots of advice. Can't wait to share what I learn and create.
Thanks for your friendship, Carolyn. I also spent most of my day outside, when I come in for a cuppa I always have a look online. I have 2 addictions for which there is NO cure.....1) Gardening and 2) Internet....LOL!

Haha, so the UK Veg Gardeners' site really served its purpose didn't it? I mean, putting us in touch with other like-minded people.
