Hi again! Very small world indeed. I pop back to Fleet regularly to visit my family who are still there. Thank you for your lovely comments on my photos - I'm a complete novice too, I just do my best with an old compact camera. I'm hoping to upgrade it one day - or borrow my husband's DSLR :-) I think your photos look great and you seem to have a bountiful harvest from your plot.
Thanks, I may take you up on that one of these days! :-) You're not far at all from my folks' place which is a pretty short walk or cycle ride to the Courtmoor area too. They're keen gardeners too with a lovely established garden, though they don't have the space for much veg growing, but they manage to find space for the usual tomato, cucumber, courgette, climbing beans kind of crops... Your tomatillos look intriguing.
My camera is pretty similar spec to yours then, I've a 4MP Samsung, my first digital camera that I bought for a big adventure abroad about 6 years' ago. I'm pretty familiar with most of its tricks now, would love a proper DSLR one of these days, though the learning curve would be pretty steep. Still we should have lots of free time once we finish work on our house!
Thanks, Mark, for the encouraging words about the photos of my plot. I commented on my own comment instead of replying to you! : ) Great photos by the way.
Hi there sorry its takena while to respond, i am growing Winter Density, some outide and some in the greenhouse, do you have face book as i have alot more photos on there
Hi Mark, pleased to meet you at last! I've been reading your comments on other blogs (Elaine and Jo for example) and have been admiring your blog this afternoon. (And I'll be adding it to my blog list; I think I have much to learn from you!). Well done on winning in the comp, some truly beautiful entries!
Hi Darren; Thanks for the compliments! I occasionally see some of your Growing for Showing exploits on the blogs of Damo and suchlike, so I'll be interested to see how you get on this year. Last year's performance will be hard to beat I think.
Lots of people know of Fleet because of the M3 services BTW, but fewer people have actually visited Fleet!
Yeah I occasionally pop into Damo's plot myself, he lives very close and he often pops down my allotment for a cuppa
Pop on my blog and take a look around http://blickys.blogspot.com/ not sure I will be as fortunate as last year. Damo is working hard to catch up to me and competition is rife this year
I been up quite a few times, watching the footy when Fleet and Salisbury played in the Southern Premier
Thanks Mark I've just responded (don't have Twitter on my phone but saw your message when I got back from work). Great offer although not sure when I'm next going past your house, shame as I only went to see my sister in Surrey the other week. I don't know if there's anyone closer who could take them off your hands quicker?
That would be good Mark if you don't mind, we'll be popping up to see my sister (and new niece) at some point in the not too distant and it would be great to pop in and meet you.

Do all the tomato varieties taste significantly different from each other?
You can be justly proud! And that pizza looked lush!

Your plot looks good but the soup looks even better
Think I'll be trying that tomorrow with today's left over chicken
BTW I am not far down the road from you in Salisbury
Often pass Fleet on the M3
