Winter Squash

Tried butternut squash for this first time this year and am disappointed with the results. Errrrrm perhaps I should have fed them. Wooops lesson learnt and I will make more of an effort next year.

I got one decent squash this year but it's just sitting in the utility room while I try to figure out what to do with it. My wife is quite a traditional cook and if it isn't green or a potato she reckons it should be in a fruit salad.

Debbie ours were a complete fail last year. Better this year and hopefully better again next.  We didn't feed them but did water well and cut away the leaves so they got full sun.

it's an uchiki kuri. I think I'll just dice it and put it in a pan of soup when no-one's looking!
