Well, how did we all get on with our tomatoes last year?  I made the decision to grow more outdoors - bad decision!  The poor plants didn't stand a chance against the wet weather and blight.  Up at the plot the Sungold stood their ground and didn't succumb,  they were very slow to produce any fruits, but gradually caught up, and I was still picking them in October.

Despite the weather, I had a bumper year harvesting about 40 kilos of tomatoes. In the greenhouse, I grew 'Sungold', Gardeners Delight', 'Tondo Liscio' (Lovely), 'Marmande', 'Monserrat'. and 'Costoluto Florentino'. All did equally well, although 'Monserrat' suffered some blossom drop. I tried some outdoors, but like yours they were a disaster, they ended up shrivelled and miserable ( Bit like me really!). Hope you have better luck, and we all have better weather next year.

I never bother to weigh my harvests so I've no idea of the quantities but had plenty to see us through and freeze.

Most of my toms are grown in the greenhouse but I did get good results outside from 'Maskotka'.

They did eventually succumb to blight but I picked all the green fruit, washed them and left them to ripen indoors.

The black russian that I tried succumbed straight away outdoors - right next to the Sungold which was ok - definitely a funny old year
