The Mystery of the Missing Carrots

"Oh dear" said Mrs. Badger "I haven't anything in the larder for dinner tonight - what are we going to do".

"Don't worry my dear" said Mr. Badger "Do you remember last year when I found that lovely garden full of veggies, and I tipped up a container  and dug out all those carrots".

"Oh yes dear, I do remember, and very nice they were too" said Mrs. Badger.

"Well, I'll wait till its dark and go back there and see if I can find some more".

When darkness fell Mr. Badger boldly

 went back to the garden and there he found a full row of lovely carrots. They looked so tempting that he decided to eat one or two before he went back home.

Mrs Badger was very pleased with her carrot supper.  The next morning the owner went for a stroll around her veg patch and was horrified to find her carrots missing - watch out, watch out - there's a thief about.
