I ran out of my stash of pop bottles so had to improvise for the last few plants - using the top half of milk bottles
A bit worried that the hole is too big and the slugs take advantage - but hey it is worth a try.
We get our milk delivered to the doorstep in glass bottles:(
Thankfully my next-door neighbour works at a water bottling plant :)
We have two of those large water dispenser bottles. We used them for the courgettes earlier on in the year.
Re-cycling at its best.
I have used those plastic milk cartons too, you can also cut the top and bottoms off and use them as collars around strawberry plants as they hold up the berry stalks off the grown :)
That's a good idea.
Put a light smear of vaseline around the neck, slugs hate the stuff, nearly as much as we hate slugs......
Thanks for the tip Fred
