Hurray, my strawberry seeds have taken!. i carefully potted them up today , even though they were tiny.
I counted 19 plus one or 2 too small to pot up yet.
My salad potatoes are showing through after only planting 1 week ago.
Wish my onions would hurry up.
Most things have taken. The sun really has helped in the last 2 days.
Have enjoyed myself and selfishly let the housework slip!!
Comment by elaine rickett on May 23, 2012 at 8:37 Sounds like everything is going well - I have never tried strawberries from seed - are they alpine ones or ordinary ones - I always grow from runners - but will be interested to see how yours turn out.
Comment by carol taylor on May 24, 2012 at 9:11 Hi Elaine they are Mignonette trailing strawberries.French.
They only cost 99p in the 99p stores with hanging pouch so i thought i would
give them a try.
Very fiddly but cant wait to see if they mature.
Have them now in mini greehhouse in 3 1/2 inch pots to see what they do.
My friend is very interested as well.
Funny day here today.
Dont know what the weather is going to do.
We were at a car boot yesterday and it was very tiring with the heat!!
