How did everyone get on after the storms yesterday. I had a pane of glass smashed in the greenhouse, all my sunflowers were felled, the sweet pea frame collapsed and the outdoor tomatoes are all leaning drunkenly. Other than that everything is fine! Wonder of wonders, the runner bean frame is still standing.
Comment by Catherine on August 16, 2012 at 16:09 I checked for damage too this morning.....some sunflowers knocked over too, but whatever I have left seems ok. It was some storm here in Ireland too!

Comment by elaine rickett on August 16, 2012 at 22:07 It wasn't just the wind - the rain was lashing down as well - it's a wonder anything survived! Beans are looking good - glad the idea worked.
Comment by Malagrowther on August 17, 2012 at 13:26 All was tranquility here in Edinburgh. There was a loveley sunset before overnight rain. But make no mistake, we get our share of wind and rain here - just at different times to the south.
