The largest cabbage I've grown to-date
When I glanced at that, I thought who's been chucking rubbish in an allotment lol! Are you going to show that or eat it?
My friend from work will be tucking into it and we'll be attacking the other one - a batch of coleslaw to go with the BBQ we're having later - they are good to eat and cut up into portions and kept in the bottom of the fridge they'll keep for ages. They did suffer a bit of caterpillar damage around the edges as I wasn't as vigilant as I could have been (and I don't spray!) so they are not good enough for showing in my opinion. However a pair of this size with no pest damage would win or come in the places at most shows. Will try to get them perfect next year!
Hens are useful for caterpillars, ours love them, and they also like having some outer leaves to nibble!
