With the recent sunny spells the above has started another growth boost, we had 4 hours of good sunshine again this morning until 11.30, when the heavens opened. Gave the baccy a high nitrogen feed, and the Congo potatoes a good dose of potash, and even managed to hoe most of the plot. Pulled a purple caulie, a clump of hative d'niort shallots and 2 red duke of york potato plants, the latter gave a really good crop. Kelsaes and Giant red onions are now starting to bulk up and look quite impressive, all the garlic is rusty though, weak and spindly, but I have over 100 in, so should be ok for the years supply. Would imagine that is it, until next weekend, as the weather forecast for the centre of the universe, is pretty grim next week.
