I took advantage of the sun this morning and planted out the peas that had been waiting in their pots for a few weeks due to the bad weather. They will have to take their chances now - as will the cauliflowers and cabbages that have gone into their final places. I have covered them with mesh tunnels until they have settled, and as we have been having hail, it will give them a little protection. In the greenhouse I have sown another batch of peas and transplanted some broccoli. The squashes and courgettes have now come through, but no sign of the runner beans that I planted last week. All in all I am feeling happy with progress - now all we need is a bit of warm weather to help things along. If you are interested I have written a post at http://awomanofthesoil.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/herbylicious.html on how the herb garden is coming along.
