UK Veg Gardeners

I was given two lovely blueberry bushes for my birthday back in the spring. I wasn't expecting too much from them this year, after all the wet weather - but we've just started picking our own, home-grown blueberries! I just hope the bushes survive the winter...

Congrats!

I also had my first crop of blueberries this year after waiting three years. Don't worry about them surviving the winter. Mine coped with -18 so they are pretty hardy.

My plants died after trying to nurture them yet my friend neglected hers and has another bumper crop!! :)

Thanks for all comments! Think it was beginner's luck, as I've never grown them before. Good to know they can survive at -18; don't think it got below -14 here last winter so we should be OK - fingers crossed!
