Comment by Catherine on August 22, 2012 at 18:42 Well done on your first year harvest!
Comment by Colin Robinson on August 22, 2012 at 20:03 Congrats!
I also had my first crop of blueberries this year after waiting three years. Don't worry about them surviving the winter. Mine coped with -18 so they are pretty hardy.
Comment by Steven Monks on August 26, 2012 at 0:31 Wow!! Well done...
My plants died after trying to nurture them yet my friend neglected hers and has another bumper crop!! :)
Comment by Alderandash on August 28, 2012 at 19:49 Thanks for all comments! Think it was beginner's luck, as I've never grown them before. Good to know they can survive at -18; don't think it got below -14 here last winter so we should be OK - fingers crossed!
