It has to be home made soup for me as well, especially on a cold winters day. In fact lunch today was a chunky home made vegetable soup with home made bread and a slab of wensleydale cheese. Doesn't get much better than that.
Our next door neighbours are a generation younger than us and when we told them we made our own soup they were amazed. They'd only ever seen it in a tin or as a cuppa soup!!!
