Not sure I like all this daylight - it's 9.30 and no sign of darkness yet - it makes me feel guilty that I'm not outdoors doing something.  I like proper evenings, when after a good day's toil you come indoors, light the lamps, get a good fire going and relax, with no guilt attached.

Finally!!! Someone we don't agree on Elaine!!! :-)

I'm loving the late lit nights... Makes the days much longer and enables you to do sooo much more!! :)

That's exactly my point Steven - I don't want to do soooooooooo much more - by that time I've done enough!

More often than not I'm falling asleep in the armchair by then and thinking about going to bed to read for a while!

I like the light mornings where I've fed the birds and had breakfast whilst watching them; checked blogs, emails and forums then off to the plot nice and early.

I'm with you there Flighty, much more an early bird than a night owl

I'm quite liking the light nights... Except when I'm really tired and the chickens refuse to go to bed because it's still light. I have to stay up until they go in so that I can close the coop door. Naughty chickens! :) My neighbour has spotted a fox so I can't sleep a wink if I know they're not locked in.

I'm having the same chicken problems Una.  they don't want to go to bed at night & then can't wait to get up in the morning.  I May have to look into an automatic coop door opener (if there is such a thing).
