Looking good, Damo. How do you stop your dahlias? I dunno why I'm asking as mine are only just starting to come through, but I am intrigued and like to learn.

Hi Debbie, I just remove the growing tips of each stem when the 'clump' is a reasonable size which encourages growth lower down and a better plant.  When the flower buds appear I 'disbud' to just the main flower so it's larger - did a post on my blog last year about it - maybe a bit to much for some but I like pulling the flower buds off, very therapeutic!

Aha! So you'd get a stronger plant with bigger flower. Worth thinking about so thanks for the tip.
