One of the stocking fillers I received this Christmas is a Hanging Tomato Planter which is also suitable for other veg such as peppers, chillies or herbs. Have any of you ever used one of these - and was it successful?
I don't know whether to bother with it or not - I might just give it a go for experimental purposes.
Comment by Colin Robinson on December 28, 2012 at 23:39 A neighbour of mine tried one a couple of years ago. He bought the planter, the compost to fill it, the plants from B+Q and some Tomorite. After harvesting a few toms his comment was: it would have been cheaper to buy them from Tesco's. Doh!!
I know that you are far more resourceful and imaginative than that, Elaine, so look forward to seeing what use you eventually put it to.
