Happy Monday folks!

Well, it is for me as I got outside and did a bit more leveling out and clearing. Honestly, this will be a nice garden space one day, feels more like a building site just now though with bits and bobs everywhere. I have so many 'bits' of old paving slab now that used to be a retaining wall. I took that apart to get the ground level and now I don't know what to do with all the slab bits!! HELP!!! Not only that, there are sooooo many stones lurking about too. I used them originally to edge round my borders, one way to use them. Trouble is, now I have a big pile of them too, oh dear. Anyone want some? LOL

The above photo is the area I am still trying to get level. Think I may have to buy some topsoil. Threaplands (a local landscaping company) sells it at £15 per ton plus delivery cost (whatever that is!). But then I'd have to barrow it through as we don't have a driveway to unload it onto. Hmmm. We'll see what happens when I'm done with me levels!

Below is another bit I am clearing, mostly to get some more soil. I have transplanted some Roses and Iris plants from here down to the back of the garden (where my veggies were last season). There is another Rose to move and another Iris, plus a Granny Bonnet, a few Helebore and Primula plants too. That board covered bit is to be the hubby's new shed space (see what I mean about all them stones!).

Talking of hubby, here he is trimming the horrid hedge on Sunday. Nice work hun!

After that he got on top of the shed and scraped off all the moss, and then hacked the beejaysus out of one of the hedge plants. Now there is another mess to clear up, anyone got a trailer?? Wouldn't be able to use it if there was one going spare, we don't have a towbar on the car. LOL. Oh well, it will have to go in the garden recycle bin, unless I invest in a shredder and make a start on a compost heap. . .

Right, need to rest the ole back now, giving me a bit of jip at the base there. Had an email earlier to say my spuds are coming from J.Parkers. These are part of a pack that includes the bags to grow them in, so we'll see what happens with these. Hmm, where the heck am I going to put them?? TTFN folks!
