A long time ago - way back in the 70's - I used to sit in a stuffy old office shuffling paper about daydreaming that one day I would be able to be outside in the fresh air all day tending my garden and growing my own food. Not being reliant on the supermarket to provide everything for my survival. Then when I moved here and the opportunity came to buy a piece of land I jumped at it and started living the dream. I may not have wealth and riches in the normal sense of the word, but I do have immense satisfaction with what I am doing.
These thoughts occurred to me this morning when I was up early planting peas before the day gets too hot - I thought - this is just as I imagined it to be - and for me, there could be no better way to spend my days.
Okay that's it - sentimental drivel over.
