I have grown some bolotti beans. Anyone know when to harvest and how to dry?

I eat my borlotti fresh like runners because they look so yummy I can't wait.

I agree with Debbie, we eat ours fresh and have already harvested ours. So delicious. Frustrated that I did not grow more. Never dried them but I believe, if well aired you can leave them on the plant to dry naturally? Though, I may be completely wrong!

Yes eat them like runner beans, or as Petra rightly says leave them on the plant if you can, or remove to dry if not, before removing the beans to store for later use.

Or just use them fresh, much nicer than drying them ;>)

And I think you can freeze them too

I dry mine (having plenty of runner beans too). Here in Scotland the season is that week or two shorter so It takes all summer.

If you pick them young do you get a continuation of supply like runners?
