UK Veg Gardeners

After ten days of glorious sunshine we are now back in the grip of a typical British summer. Today it's been quite chilly with a brisk easterly wind blowing so it was a case of much pottering in the greenhouse to keep warm.

The tomatoes are coming along nicely as this plant shows. I have ten plants in the greenhouse with a couple of 'tumbler' types ready to pot on and put outside when I can find some space.

They look good Colin, what variety are they

Also, please tell me you do not pee on your cabbages and I have read that wrong?

This tom plant is Harzfeuer, a Lidl special.

No, Darren, I don't pee directly on my cabbages. Whatever would the neighbours think.

I keep a pot in the shed and dilute it about 5:1.  We need to get a bit less uptight about using human waste as fertilizer. The way we gobble up resources it may be all we have in the future!!

But Colin....if we drink alcohol before we p, will the grass come up half cut??  LOL! That's my hubby's latest joke about us gardeners...LOL!

I have started a P Bucket too...dilute to the top!!! Free sterile liquid feed for our plants!!
