its amazing what even small ponds will bring in. I really like the shallow stone one, we're hoping to get bees soon and need to put in another pond nearer to the hives but this ideas is perfect and will save a lot of digging! guess it would dry out in summer if not topped up though. Think I will do this in my garden too which has apple tree roots everywhere. We have newts in out 3' x 1.5' ? (roughly) pond which just arrived on their own, its quite a way from the next nearest pond so was surprised.
