UK Veg Gardeners

This year will be my 4th growing season and up until now i have learnt loads and feel this year its all about learning from my mistakes and improving on what we've grown previously.

Trying 2 new things this year, garlic (which i planted in october) and leeks which i plan to sow just a few and sit them on my kitchen window sill by the end of the month.

I'm also going to try and improve on my carrots after discovering they do like the deeper veg bed, but also going to try a few in tall veg bags to see what happens.

Hubbs has promised to build me a fine netted cage to cover my cauliflowers, cabbage and lettuce so hope i'll get to eat more that the bugs and slugs this year.

Getting very excited and a little impatient so reading and reading some  more until we can get outside.

Heres to a great new growing season xx

How exciting! This will be my second year and I'm doing garlic again, it did so well last year and needs very little looking after. My plot has been very waterlogged after the last few weeks of rain but after checking on the garlic today it seems to be doing alright. I'm growing some elephant garlic too, just as novelty really, I can't wait to see how that turns out. Happy growing, it's going to be fab x
