Following on from my previous post about Rhubarb, I decided to let one of the flowers go to seed so I could show people it's development.
I may try to harvess the seeds and see if they will germinate next year.
As i said in my previous post, it is not recommended to let a Rhubarb Flower develop to seed because it may weaken the plant.
In this post you can see how the flowerheads have fanned out, and some wildlife they attract.
Thanks, this is really useful. One of our allotment has gone to seed. It doesn't look the strongest so will leave the flower and clear it out after.
