first fruits
I picked a pound or so of gooseberries this afternoon...the first fruit of the year. Oh, I've had rhubarb but technically that's a vegetable so it doesn't count.

Great crop Colin. Our gooseberries don't seem to have any fruit this year!!!! I think there is about 3 on one bush though..LOL!

Jealous! I've got Catherine's sister plant!! It's only got 2 fruits on it. I'm doing something wrong even though I've followed the RHS pruning and feeding instructions. hey ho enjoy yours :)

Debbie our gooseberry bushes have been here since Noah was a boy and fruited every year with so many the bushes were dripping! Must have been the weather,cause we fed and mulched them this year, never before!?!?
