I picked a pound or so of gooseberries this afternoon...the first fruit of the year. Oh, I've had rhubarb but technically that's a vegetable so it doesn't count.

Comment by Debbie on June 8, 2012 at 22:13 Jealous! I've got Catherine's sister plant!! It's only got 2 fruits on it. I'm doing something wrong even though I've followed the RHS pruning and feeding instructions. hey ho enjoy yours :)
Comment by Catherine on June 8, 2012 at 22:42 Debbie our gooseberry bushes have been here since Noah was a boy and fruited every year with so many the bushes were dripping! Must have been the weather, cause we fed and mulched them this year, never before!?!?
Comment by Debbie on June 10, 2012 at 22:25 We'll just have to look at Colin's picture and imagine them in a crumble mmMMmm
