UK Veg Gardeners

On Thursday I popped into Poundstretcher to see if there were any bargains and found they had a bargain box of fruit trees - for £5.99 ea.    I felt so sorry for them as they were starting to blossom in the box - I decided to help them escape from the store and bought a Bramley and Elsworth tree.  Don't know whether the quality of the trees is any good or whether they will survive, but we'll see.  My own Bramley tree is not looking very healthy these days and has never really given me many apples - so maybe this new youngster can replace it eventually.  I actually had difficulty in finding space to plant it as I already have half a dozen small apple trees dotted around the garden, plus three plum trees and a pear.  My garden isn't that big and is already full to the brim but I'm sure I can find room for a couple more.

I've had a plum and an apple from Poundland over the last couple of years. Although not big trees they are actually growing and the apple has a good show of lovely pink blossom at the moment so I'm hopeful of some fruit this year.
