well, having found a site of 1 acre in the village of Chelmorton, Derbyshire, today i made my first visit
i met up with Matt who lives in the village (he was nursing a hangover.....) we walk the few yards down the lane and there it is, a muddy patch of land with 2 pigs in the pen, fast asleep.
its looks ok, the view is lovely, the soil is muddy and has been turned over by the pigs (2 ladies who i don't know formally yet) nicely
We've decided on a putting a path down the middle made out of the stones that are piled up at one end.
i'll put a rough plot together of where we think we want the raised beds and Matt is going to make a small shed for storing tools in
we're off..............
just before i left i poped in to say hello to the pigs. one got up and sounded just like me when i first wake up.........we'll get along fine!

Look forward to hearing how you progress.

Congratulations on your new plot :-))
A whole acre sound like quite a lot - will you do some perennial planting or are you planning to sell some of what you grow?
