Feeling that our plot has been like a bit if a noose around my neck this year, which is really sad because we had such a fabulous harvest last year! Last year being our first year as allotmenteers. This year has been such a washout and my motivation has dwindled. Its not helped that every time i take my daughter, 18 months, she gets fed up after about 20 minutes! I was so disheartened when I went down a month or so back and the grass/weeds were almost thigh high! Still I really want to keep it…See More

"You can take a few redcurrant branches out-upto a third, to let some light and air in if overcrowded, but they don't need hard pruning like blackcurrants."

Feeling that our plot has been like a bit if a noose around my neck this year, which is really sad because we had such a fabulous harvest last year! Last year being our first year as allotmenteers. This year has been such a washout and my motivation has dwindled. Its not helped that every time i take my daughter, 18 months, she gets fed up after about 20 minutes!
