"NB with vine weevil nematodes the compost also has to be kept damp for a few weeks for them to work, which of course wasn't a problem for most of this season, but as soon as I used mine at the start of September we immediately had a spell…"

nematodes, when is the best time

I've got a jostaberry plant which I noticed yesterday had most of its leaves chomped by caterpillars (green with black heads). They have completely ravaged the plant, I've spent two day picking them off. I don't want to use chemicals on them. From what I can understand they are sawfly and nematodes are recommended. Can anyone tell me, is there a best time to use them? Is it worth using them in the Autumn or should I wait for the Spring?See More
