January According to my old 'Practical gardening & food production in pictures' book, which will now be known as PG for short, there are a number of jobs for me to complete this month.I would like to have a more productive plot this year & there is nothing wrong with some good old fashioned advice. "I used some old fence panels for one of my veg beds, the bed holds my soft fruit bushes, rhubarb & flowers. They have grown fine & healthy for the 18 months its been in place. My main beds are edged in decking boards if thats any help, they…"

Thinking of trees.

Now that I have sorted out the vegetable patch for next year my attention is turning to trees. I need more fruit trees.If I ask the under gardener nicely to build me some sort of contraption, I would have the space for some cordons. Nothing too elaborate you understand, but needs must. Thinking of trees.

Pottering in the greenhouse & other items.

Morning!

It's a grand morning outside, a pleasure to stroll round the garden this morning. Mike was particularly amused to hear of my tale in which I tried to take a photo of a bee. I nearly fell into the borage.I doubt I would have been found again. I'm only small & the borage is huge this year. It really is beautiful this year, I should have taken a photo of that instead.
