RABBITS!!!

RABBITS We've been free of these pests for years, then OF remarked we had'nt seen them for yonks-and of course now we're plagued with them-peas gone, lettuce ditto, just about every green leaf gone-they even got into the greenhouse and ate the chilli leaves! OF shot 5 of them but being rabbits, they've made up the deficit-my garden looks like a stalag wire and mesh everywhere and they still manage to chomp off the pea stems and tendrils that poke out of my defences-what else can I do? Spuds are quite common to that if they get at all damp, as soon as one gets it, it goes through the lot

How have you stored your carrots?

A good way which is what you may have already done, is I have a crate, I laid a layer of news paper at the bottom then a layer of sand. I covered the carrots, spacing them out as not to touch but keeping them as close as I can. They I covered with another layer of sand and so on. I have kept them like this for some time in my garage. You can do this will all roots
