"I had some holes in radish like these and saw ants inside devouring them. I don't know if the hole was originally made by a slug and the ants were merely profiteering, either way they seemed to be enjoying them."

Yes you can eat it, just cut out the nibbled bits. And get some slug pellets or find some other way to deter the little bu***rs."
