"Yes, I was spoilt getting a greenhouse right from the start. The entertaining bit was when we relocated it to the other side of the garden - Hubby built a new base for it, we took out all the glass and I gave it a good wash and then we walked…"

"Think I added something to the brassica plot in spring, but can't remember what-probably something with a high nitrogen content to beef up the leafy growth. And probably not organic!"

"Sounds like my soil! Good for brassicas and strawberries, but needs to be more acid for raspberries, so will add more manure and possibly some flowers of sulphur if that doesn't work. I find that loads of home made compost opens up the…"

"Hi Claire Thanks for being my 1st friend request!  :-)) I love the photos of your patch - your raised beds are cute! What is the tree in the right hand side of the picture (behind you) - it looks like an apple or cherry?    "

"fair point, 6.5-7 is optimum, but my soil tested 7.7 and I've never had any trouble so pH is OK.  I've never tested for nutrients (maybe I should) so would be very interested to see your results."

The tree in the corner of my garden is a pear (conference) it was there when we moved in and produces huge pears, so we were really lucky. You're garden looks lovely and mature (plus you have a greenhouse so I am jelous) I'm only just establishing the garden, so it still looks quite bare apart from the raised beds.
