Read that you shouldn't compost the leaves but burn them instead. Presumably its ok to eat the bulbs, which look fine... but will they store ok? This is my first time growing garlicContinue

"I pulled up my garlic a couple of weeks ago as patches of rust had started to appear on them. On the whole, the bulbs were surprisingly good, a handful were on the small side and a couple had gone rotten. As long as the bulbs look unaffected they…"

"its ok to eat the bulbs. they store fine.   I grow them for a few years.  I had to lift them early this year with rusty leaves, the bulbs are smaller. "

I guess you are mainly getting things ready for next year if you haven't had it long?

Won't be too long and I'll be putting in my Garlic and Winter onions
