Comment by Flighty on September 5, 2012 at 20:06 That's one more than I grew this year! I sowed or planted three lots and the seeds rotted in the soggy ground or the plants got eaten by slugs. It's the first year that I've had no runners!
Ive been so lucky...my second year of runners and there are loads, only 4 wigwams of 5 canes with 2 plants up each but they are brill! Cabbages not good...they got eaten (not by us) :0( Peas all good, spring onions (jeez they r warm), loads of toms altho not ripe and spuds altho they have already been eaten...by us
Comment by Flighty on September 5, 2012 at 20:21 Well done as it's been a terrible year for gardening, especially growing vegetables.
Thankyou.... cant believe how many bugs/flies have to be guarded against but completely love it! We wont mention the radish haha total non starter
