I'm a bit bemused by it Mark, wondering if there was a bit of a mix-up, some of the plants quickly flowered and ran to seed before Christmas. But 3 plants held out until now, well the last couple of weeks. I had given up on them. Worth waiting for.

I always think it`s a pity the colour disappears when you cook it, looks tasty all the same

It's one of my favourite veg, David. I don't mind that it takes forever to come to fruition. No doubt the big commercial growers are working on one that will keep its colour!
