Raised beds
Some of my raised beds and greenhouse. There are 5 beds here. I have 2 more beds in the other part of the garden on the other side of the house.

When I started this garden in 2008, the summer was very wet and I lost many of my crops. Our soil is heavy loam and with constant rain was like a bog. I had put in lots of work for no reward, so I ordered up some timber raised beds and never look back.

I have the opposite problem: dry sandy soil. I have progressively improved the soil structure of the raised beds over many years, and they are now very productive.
