Great photo!
Tell you what, Elaine: let's put your Marmande tomatoes and courgettes together with my garlic and aubergines and see if we can make a nice ratatouille.
Comment by elaine rickett on August 14, 2012 at 22:08 You're on!
My first Aubergines will probably be ready next week. They are a variety called "Pingtung Long", but I don't really know HOW long to expect. Some sources say 10-12 inches, some say 16, some say 18 inches...
Comment by elaine rickett on August 15, 2012 at 9:52 I suspect you will just have to judge it by feel and colour as to when they are ready to harvest. My aubergines are running true to form - dropping off and going rotten - I never learn.
