Swapping seed is fun. It doesn't have to be bought seed, you can also swap saved seed too. Just be clear which type you are offering. Also please don't send seed outside the EU as this is against DEFRA guidelines. Have fun!

Comment by Dim Sum Gardener on September 28, 2010 at 14:52: These will soon be available from the garden: tomatoes (banana legs, cream sausage and grosse lisse), French beans (trail of tears, cosse violette, cupidon) and sunflowers (Australian pollen-less, Russian mammoth). I'm looking for squashes (banana, buttercup, acorn, delicata, spaghetti, sweet dumpling, tromboncino, yellow/golden ball), tomatoes (gardener's delight, any yellow cherry/pear, purple calabash, zapotec, any black plum) or tomato centiflor. Open to other options!

Id thought about having something like this to sell off surplus veg/seed and use the money for next years seeds or something garden orientated (trying to make it pay for itself!!).

The garden gate basket worked really well, at the end of the day, it was all gone-including overgrown courgettes! Noticed that other people in the village started doing it with surplus plums, apples etc, also got requests from people too, eg got any more of those nice kohl rabi? So met some new people too.
