UK Veg Gardeners

We've been given one of these super cool kid's gardening kits by Innocent smoothies to give away. I thought we'd run a little competition here in the 'Gardening with Kids' group to win it.

All you need to do is post your best tip for gardening with children in the comments below and we'll choose the best tip and that person will win the kit! Easy.

The kit includes: A watering can, rake and fork tools, plant tags, stickers and a collection of seeds. Thanks to Innocent Kids for the prize.

Closing date for the competition is March 22nd.

And I should also add that the competition is open to UK residents only.

Best of luck

In my garden I have put my daughters (3years old) wendy house into the veg area and she plays and makes me "cups of tea" as I dig/weed/plant.  She also has a small garden around her wendy house with some annual flowers and strawberry plants.  It does mean that plenty of plastic food finds its way around the veg garden, but we enjoy our time together and the veg gets tended to, so everyone's a winner!

And the winner is.... Jan Willets for her 'plant Calendula's in the shape of your child's initials' idea. Well done Jan.

Thanks to everyone who sent in tips. I'll certainly be using some of them.

Thanks

Gill

I'm so thrilled to have won, especially with all those lovely ideas. Just bought my granddaughter a pair of purple sparkly wellies so she can help me at the plot, so I'm looking forward to receiving my kit!
