What a brilliant idea for a group!

I do love me a bargain! Mine are usually garnered from street markets, pound shops, community plant swaps and boot sales.

I bought at the beginning of the summer a pack of large plain wooden lollipop sticks 50 for about £1.50 from Rymans stationary shop for my planting labels cheaper than a garden center

Good tip from Mandy Lam about the Lakeland sale - Thanks! Mini grow beds now sold out but lots of other bargains. Slug-proof timber raised beds £7 for 60cm x 90cm, bongo ties 99p for 10, organic plant food 49p (was £7)! Marvellous!

Hi everyone, I'm running a book giveaway draw on my blog until 15th October. The book is a new copy of 'Decorating Pumpkins and Gourds' by Deborah Schneebeli-Morrell. It's a lovely book, full of inspiration and practical advice - and definitely not your run of the mill pumpkin book!

Great tips everybody, I've been on Lakeland and down to Wyevale. If you have a Poundland nearby they do big packs of those small brown envelopes which are great for storing seed for.....well a pound!

Just treated myself to some fur lined waterproof boots from cottontraders.co.uk, they are £20 instead of £40 and very cosy for the garden in winter.
