If anyone wants a quick and easy crop to grow in a small space try radishes. These are grown in a small supermarket plastic produce tray about 12x9 inches and 6 inches deep.

Two of these trays with alternate sowings every 4 weeks should keep you in radishes for the whole of the season. Try a different variety with each sowing.

Excellent idea Colin  - how to get the most out of a small space - I wondered what to do with all those plastic trays - now I know.  Good tip.

Love this tip Colin - one way to squeeze some extra space for growing.  Pretty big tray though, the ones I throw out recycle are half that size;  it would still work though, so thanks for the idea!
