UK Veg Gardeners

I'm not sure I should be in this group as it says it's for people growing food without a garden. I do have a garden but I also grow lots of stuff in containers and have 124 at present with a wide variety of veggies in them. Some are standing on gravel, some on a flagged area and in winter some come inside the house.

I've been doing it seriously for five years and prior to that it was just the usual greenhouse crops in big pots.

I'd be interested in following other people's progress through the year and the sort of yields they can achieve. I maintain that given the right crops and the right containers you can get more food for a given area than with conventional gardening.

I should change the description really! I too have a very small garden

I started with tubs and pots, squeezed in to every available space!!  But we have since moved and got a much larger garden that I can actually plant properly, we have raised beds (more to follow) but I still have things in pots, there are spuds in bags, herbs in pots, beans, etc etc, I have alot of the pots of the patio, and because I like most things to be productive then its just continued!!

Oh and the toms, cucumbers are in pots and crates in the greenhouse!
