Hello,
I'm growing Sherines for some local shows and wondered how well they store. I know they are an early and the haulms on some of mine are already dying down.
Anybody know the answer??
Cheers.

we find as long as you can keep them dry , cool and dark they will keep fairly well, put them into some dry peat and make sure light is excluded.

I would be hoping you would be getting them in the Southern Championships
Cut the haulms off and leave for 2 weeks to allow the skins to get hard. Make sure you keep them dry
If they are in bags, put them in a shed, if in the ground, cover
They after a week or so, select your sets, be careful not to damage the skins as they won't be hard enough until at least the 2 weeks
Then put your sets back in some dry peat/compost
They will store well enough to keep for shows throughout the year
Get any problems or want any advice, give me a ring
I will pm you my number
Look forward to seeing you there this week
I remember them peas well
