why my broccalis have all leaves and no flowers?

I read about the tip of removing some leaves as to encourage flowers.  It has not worked yet.  what could be the problem?  They have been growing since last summer and looking healthy.

Perhaps you could feed them? Sulphate of ammonia or pelleted chicken manure.

OK ,I should learn to be more patient.

Jade, mine are the same.  The Early Purple Sprouting Broccoli should be in sometime this month or next.  It will be worth the wait as I am told they crop generously.

I applied a good  handful of pelleted chicken manure today.  Thanks Jan.

My purple sprouting broccoli plants were ripped up and fed to the chickens by my mother, who in January believed that after nearly a year of watching them grow, they would never flower...If only she had waited another month... boo hoo

Oh Dan, we feel your pain :(

Last year ours came through really early indeed. This year, we planted left over seeds at the (new) allotment, and they're still tiny, with barely any flowers, well, tiny ones... so disappointing.
