Permalink Reply by Damo on November 27, 2010 at 9:32 Gave my Christmas wish list to my wife last night after she asked me what I would like - she just looked at me like I was some sort of alien - as per my earlier post it contained a list of exhibition grade seed, a tub of nutrimate and a JBA Planter Kit (Exhibition Kit 6) - If she and the kids buy me that lot I think she'll probably buy me a flat cap to go with it.
Permalink Reply by Damo on November 27, 2010 at 9:34 I wanted to make sure I got practical gifts, so I made a list of gardening books and other bits and bobs on Amazon and told Hubby to have a look there if he couldn't think of anything. A large box has arrived, I can't wait for Christmas now! :)

Permalink Reply by Jan Willetts on December 10, 2010 at 2:18 I quite fancy richard mabey's new book on Weeds-have dropped a few hints but get the distinct impression that people are starting to worry about me!

I've asked for Nigel Slater's Tender 2 from my family and have been told that I don't need any more books. But I do!!! I also see that Anna Pavord has a new book out - wonder if they'll stretch to that as well.
I'm also saving up for a present to myself - one of Angie Lewin's paintings. I LOVE her work. Might be a few Christmases and birthdays before I get that one.

I've put Sepp Holzer's permaculture on my list. Cat has just settled down lying on my arm so can't type more! (no of course I can't just move her)

I have to agree with Stephen. Hands down the best gift I ever received and one that I give out often now is a pair of Felco No.2's Another suggestion I give people who ask me for gift ideas for friends and family is a good trigger nozzle for your hose and of course I suggest one of my gardening books (blatant plug).
As for me, I'm asking for a few wide and low ceramic bowls so I can start a few more succulent bowls.

Permalink Reply by Damo on December 11, 2010 at 21:51 Thanks Rees there's some great ideas there, I don't think I'll be able to resist having a go at a mushroom growing kit much longer. And I'm definitely getting those Felco's!
