What variety is it?
They tend to grow like that if something else is in the way
I also straighten mine as they grow

The reason it curved was because it was very low down and actually hit the greenhouse floor

Been eating celery recently which has been good, a few marks and nibbles here and there which makes you appreciate just how many chemicals must go into the unblemished supermarket celery to get it onto the shelf in 'perfect' condition. It's what you can't see that's worrying!
Permalink Reply by Alderandash on August 21, 2012 at 1:00 We have an 'egg hut' here in the village that sells the eggs from the local farm that aren't 'good enough' for the supermarket. Some of the eggs are a bit lumpy and bumpy, but that's it - they taste great. So daft that everything has to look 'perfect'. Mind you, agree about trying to pack curly cucs...
