UK Veg Gardeners

With March approaching I'm starting to think about sowing Tomatoes.  My varieties are Moneymaker, Gardener's Delight, Tumbling Tom Red, F1 Incas, Golden Peardrop & Marmande.

What varieties are you growing?

Do you have any special tips?

I'll be growing some in a cold greenhouse using the ring culture method, and outside using growbags and direct in the beds.  Which method works best for you?

I'm gowing Sweet Million, Yellow Stuffer, Sungold, Yellow Pear. Can't wait to pull them from the vine, seems a long way off though.

I'm going to be growing Marmande, Olivade, Gold Nugget, Gardener's Delight, Ferline, Tumbling Tom (both red and yellow). I'll grow the tumblers and some of the Marmande and Gardener's Delight outside in pots, I've not had blight in the garden yet. The rest will be crammed in the greenhouse, I'm not quite sure how, just as I am not entirely sure how I ended up with so many different kinds. I blame this forum, I asked what people grow last Autumn and wound up with a massive list.

I'll use ring culture in growbags in the greenhouse, but won't be sowing until 1st March. Seems to work OK and I have too many other things I need to be starting, not to mention not enough space ;-)

I'm sure space will be an issue for a lot of us!  Good luck squeezing them all in.

I'll be growing several varieties including the pineapple tomato, lemon, pear, heinz and well as the usual plum beefstake, cherry tomatoes, gonna try a few techniques this year though but all be grown in the greenhouse!  My main problem with tomatoes is that they never get chance to get to the kitchen!!!
Gardener's Delight, Moneymaker and Tumbling Tom.   I will be planting the seeds indoors in March, and eventually transplanting them outside into ten inch pots and troughs filled with home-made compost.  I also feed them with comfrey tea, which the tomatoes seem to enjoy, supplemented with a light sprinkling of Miracle Gro plant food granules.
Ailsa Craig have their first set of true leaves, getting ready to sow Gardeners Delight next. I want to try growing a beefstake variety this year seeing as I will be the very proud (and excited) owner of a greenhouse very soon! Any recommendations or tips on growing beefstake toms?

Be prepared for a smaller number of larger toms.

Abraham Lincoln will meet half way.

I'm growing -

Big Zac
Black Krim
Brandywine
Delicious
Kellogg's Breakfast
Sungold F1

My chosen toms this year are:

Tumbling Tom Red

Ferline

Black Krim

and I've also sown some Golden Sunrise, Gardener's Delight and Costoluto Fiorentino seeds from freebies or old packets. Not sure where I'm going to fit all these if they all germinate! :)

Instead of Gardener's Delight, Moneymaker and Tumbling Tom, I actually ended up growing Gardener's Delight, Gardener's Pearl and Brandywine.  Four of my Brandywines are looking great, but most of the rest didn't exactly thrive so I threw them in the compost.

Anyone out there have experience of growing Brandywine?  Presumably you remove side shoots like with any cordon type tomato?
