UK Veg Gardeners

The first of the greenhouse planted potatoes have been in for nine weeks now so I thought it was time for a furtle under the compost. I carefully scraped some away and hey presto ....tatties.

I covered them back up, gave them a feed of tomato fertilizer and will see if I can get a meal out them next weekend. Ooh, the anticipation!!

woooo hooo I love furtling

Glad your sneaky furtle  found some tatties - the foliage on my greenhouse potatoes looks wonderful but I doubt there is any need for furtling yet - you are a bit ahead of me.

Furtling?? meaning foraging with fingers in the earth below the spuds? Yes...I did that today with my tunnel spuds....found some small circular object there and decided to leave well alone, but am delighted there are tubers down there :) Fab foliage, but no flowers yet, so will leave the discovery for a while! Can't wait though!
